Alessandro Enriquez SS21 Milan Fashion Week

Alessandro Enriquez’s Spring-Summer 2021 collection is a tribute to Italy, love, and the genuine art of Italian food. “A cheeky hymn to Italy, an Italy that is recovering and transforming itself, starting from Milan, ready to shine again thanks to the most powerful tool it has: love “. “setting up” the fashion for an SS21 under the banner of the Italian flag. The garments are transformed into “canvases”, on which the designer notes ingredients, ideas, reflections, sketching out shapes and designs, and new ideas.

These are new elements, the fulcrum of the summer collection that develops through pop and irreverent, “Enriquezian”. The print with the Sicilian tangerines is a vitamin explosion, a tribute to the Mediterranean nature, as powerful as the aroma that these fruits give off. From citrus fruits to the queen of the Italian cuisine, the pizza, which is represented here with quick brushstrokes, white, red, and green, of course.

The “laid table” cannot be missing, which Alessandro imagines as a black and white checked tablecloth, set with plates of spaghetti, traditional Italian ingredients, and good red wine to toast a new rebirth. The denim package continues to be a distinctive trait of Alessandro’s style, together with the t-shirts depicting faces, “Italian-style” rebus, and postcards created together with Fabrizio Sclavi, a modern storyteller who tells places and visions with his words and its colors.

The silhouettes proposed are hyper-feminine – wide pleated skirts in Duchesse with a 50’s flavor, long sleeveless dresses that dress the figure in abundant light and fluid fabric but without weighing it down – or unisex, like the wide long-sleeved poplin shirts, or even the short-sleeved Hawaiian, which also return this season. Dresses with full skirts and soft trousers are combined with more constructed models, such as shirts with pockets with a vintage 90s fit. Cotton, viscose, and silk which take on softer or more rigid textures on the bases of poplin, twill, Duchesse, and crepe are the bases of this collection.

Finally, a proposal of accessories, created in collaboration with the brand Leontine Vintage who created with Alessandro a capsule of mini bags in woven straw in the shape of a pineapple, heart, and small pig, as well as the inevitable headbands, hats, and hair bows. with a 50s flavor, held together by the prints of the collection through woven bandanas, knots, and ribbons.
