Although we may not be able to celebrate Easter in the manner in which we are accustomed to this year, that doesn’t mean you have to nix all traditions all together. Gathering the kids to dye eggs usually meant buying a box of dyes or the traditional Paas kit which has the tablets in which you just add vinegar and watch it fizz up.
But more and more individuals are choosing to ecologically dye eggs by using vegetables such as beets, spinach and more. For desired colors use 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of vegetable or fruit. Boil the vegetable/fuit for 20 minutes, add 1 tbsp each of white vinegar and salt, then submerge the egg.
